Our Mission
RAIN’s mission is to bring project-based learning to classrooms, empowering students to think critically, collaborate, and grow through hands-on, project based learning.
WHAT WE DO
We work with schools that don’t have access to creative, hands-on learning methods and provide students with the chance to engage in Project-Based Learning (PBL) that’s rooted in STEM, collaboration, and curiosity. Instead of memorizing facts or copying from a board, our students explore real-world questions, build presentations, create visual projects, and—most importantly—learn how to think critically and work as a team.
Our first partnership was with Women in IT (WIIT), an organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in technology across Nepal. Through them, we connected with Jugat Sundar Bwonekuthi School in Kathmandu, where we launched our pilot program. Over four weeks, I had the privilege of working with 10 brilliant girls in bi-weekly online sessions. Each session focused on inquiry-based learning, where the students formed groups, tackled research questions, and built out full projects on STEM-related topics. Many had never worked this way before, and watching them grow more confident in asking questions, organizing ideas, and presenting their thoughts was one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
