Curriculum: What We Teach

The RAIN curriculum is a four-week, fully online Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience designed to introduce students from elementary schools to STEM-based research, collaboration, and creative expression. The program primarily runs in bi-weekly, 45-minute sessions through Google Meet. Modifications to the curriculum and logistics can be discussed during booking meetings. Students work in small groups to explore real-world questions, conduct guided research, and develop a final product such as a visual aid, video, or digital presentation.

Each batch follows a structured timeline:

  • Week 1: Introduction to project goals and research skills

  • Week 2: Deepening research + planning & design

  • Week 3: Project development and peer feedback

  • Week 4: Final revisions and live presentations

Outside of class, students spend about 3 hours completing homework, conducting research, and refining their projects. By the end of the program, students will have developed key skills in research, organization, project management, and public speaking—along with the confidence to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. All sessions are conducted in English and designed to be accessible with basic technology and minimal materials.

Disclaimers:

Our team only speaks English, meaning classes will be conducted in English only. Additionally, all classes are remote and are organized at a time both appropriate for PST and your time zone. To conduct these classes, the school must have at least one computer that can be used for sessions as well as doing the project outside of the sessions. Either each student or the teacher at the school must have a Google account. No materials are given through RAIN, if the student wishes to do a physical project, they must provide their own materials.
